Our Wedding

To avoid any detours: make sure to enter the full address,&nbsp;4484 Hamilton Hwy, Hesse, into your maps. You don't want to end up 20 minutes down the road at the Barunah Plains hall. It's not nearly as pretty as Barunah Plains!&nbsp;

Once you arrive, get ready for a scenic drive down the driveway, about 1.5km long. As you approach the homestead, keep following the road and pass the tennis court on your left. Follow the 'Guest Parking' signs.

Accomodation Options

We’re lucky to have enough space on-site for all our guests to stay together. Most people will be in the Shearers Quarters or the Glamping area, this will be $495 per person for three night accommodation – which covers all food. We’ll be in touch once you RSVP to arrange payment and allocate rooms if you are staying on site.

THE HOMESTEAD

Listed by the National Trust and Heritage Victoria, originally built in 1866. The bridal party will be staying here, but we’re so excited to have everyone close by across the rest of the beautiful property.

The Shearers Quarters

Set away from the main homestead, the shearers quarters sleeps 42 people. There is a full commercial kitchen, dining room and large sitting room. GLAMPING

Once the Shearer’s Quarters have filled up, we have the option of popping glamping tents up for guests to stay.

Jackaroo Quarters 

There are six self contained units next to the homestead on the property, these can be booked directly. We would like those who have children to be prioritised for these units, so please let us know if you are interested before booking.

Offsite Accomodation 

If you’d prefer to stay off-site, there are a small number of Airbnb options available in nearby towns such as Inverleigh. If you go this route, just be sure to plan ahead for your transport to and from the venue, as taxi services are limited due to the rural location.

Accomodation 

Melbourne has two airports: - Tullamarine Airport (1.5 hours to the venue) - Avalon Airport (45 minutes to the venue). Flights from NZ to Avalon are sometime cheaper than Tullamarine so it's worth comparing the two!

Flights to Melbourne

We will be organising a shuttle service between Geelong train station and Barunah Plains on Thursday 19 November and Sunday 22 November. The drive from Geelong station to the venue is approximately 45 minutes. There will be a contribution required for the shuttle service, with final costs to be confirmed once numbers are locked in. If you would like to use the shuttle, please indicate this in your RSVP or contact us if your plans change. For those staying in Melbourne before or after the wedding, the train to Geelong is straightforward and efficient, taking just over an hour from the city. Melbourne is currently offering 50% off public transport fares, and trains run regularly from Flinders Street and Southern Cross stations. Of course, hiring a car is also a great option if you’d like more flexibility to explore.

Dress Attire 

Green fees are $15 per day via an honour box system placed next to the clubroom door for cash payments, or a Vendi EFTPOS terminal for non-cash transactions. Disc golf is also available at the club (which Tim is very happy about).
